Alpine Refuge

In winter (Mon-Fri except Christmas and Carnival), you can participate in a guided ski safari with a free ski instructor from the St. Ulrich Ski School every day. Together, you will explore places like the Sella Ronda, the Mountain Hunters Tour, the Gardena Ronda, the Marmolada, the Lagazuoi, or venture on Freeride adventures in the Mittagstal.

Only 15 minutes separate you from the entrance to the largest ski carousel in Europe, the Dolomiti Superski with 1,200 kilometers of slopes. Mon-Fri (except on Christmas & Carnival), our shuttle service will take you to the ski slope in St. Ulrich and back. The free ski bus runs hourly to St. Ulrich (200 m away). In St. Ulrich, a ski storage room, rental and service are also available.

Directly behind Kirchwies, countless prepared winter hiking trails and natural snowshoe routes start into nature. Furthermore, in winter (except for Christmas and carnival) we offer guided winter and snowshoe hikes with the local tourism cooperative. If necessary, you can rent the snowshoes directly from us.

Right on the Seiser Alm, over 80 kilometers of perfectly groomed trails await to be discovered by you - whether classical or in the skating style. The routes lead through quiet forests, over wide alpine pastures, and offer breathtaking views of Schlern, Langkofel, and Plattkofel. If desired, you can participate in guided cross-country skiing courses or conveniently rent the appropriate equipment on site.

Experience a magical Advent in the Alps! The smaller Christmas markets of St. Ulrich and Wolkenstein are quaint and traditional, while the markets in Bolzano, Brixen, Merano and Bruneck are known far beyond the national borders. Try fine baked goods and browse amongst countless gift ideas at the wooden stands.
